Center Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1958, serves an area west of Mocksville in Davie County, North Carolina.  An all-volunteer department, Station 13's members answer calls to fires, motor vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies throughout the district and into surrounding departments' coverage areas under mutual aid agreements.  It also presently makes visits to the county's schools with a portable smokehouse to teach children how to get out of their homes in the event of a fire.

Center is presently attempting to add to its membership and welcomes anyone within the Center Fire District or in immediately surrounding districts to drop off an application at the fire department.  Millions of dollars in firefighting equipment is meaningless without firefighters to run it!  Please click on the membership link above for more detail.
