Center Volunteer Fire Department's

50th Anniversary Celebration

Our open house on October 12th was quite a success. Thanks to everyone who was able to visit the station - the event was the result of a lot of hard work on the part of our members and families and the effort certainly paid dividends. We also would like to extend a thanks to those that were able to help in bringing our surviving charter members back to the station and those that handed over pictures, contact information, and lugged mountains of display items (Everette Glasscock and Jerry Webb in particular) in for us to use.

Appreciation is also due Formac Automotive for quick repairs on our original 1958 truck, 1302. Thanks for getting her back to the station under her own power in time for the open house.

Our raffle for our Ashleigh Davis benefit netted $2700.00 dollars towards her medical expenses - $500.00 of which came from our first-prize payout being donated back into the pot for the cause. Thanks so much to those that donated prizes, sold the tickets on our behalf, and to each person who forked over their hard-earned cash for a chance at the prize. God bless you all.

May the next fifty years be as cherished as the last.
